I can call my garage for opening. But the number is quite long, 12 digits. This works fine when my Samsung is connected with Bluetooth, but not with Android Auto. It seems like the phone app on Android Auto just dials 8 digits.
Does anyone know how this is solved?

That would be a question for Google / Samsung / Your carrier. The vehicle is not involved what so ever as all it's doing is showing you what your phone is doing.
But definitely sounds like an android issue, I would suggest reaching out on an android forum or reddit as that would gain more responses than here.
