Hi all. I have a job 1 ‘21 Mach-e. The frunk key on the remote has never worked for me. I understood that a software update would be delivered over time to fix the issue, but that hasn’t happened yet. Do other people experience this as well? Is there a way to get a working frunk key on the FOB remote for job 1 Mach-e’s?

From what I am aware, there shouldn't be a Frunk button on the fob. Those Fobs are for the F-150 Lightning. There are some people who have purchased the fob with a frunk button, but it wasn't standard. They then used Forscan (A this party tool, not supported by Ford.) to enable its functionality.
The software update that is being pushed, is to enable frunk release from the SYNC touchscreen, and from FordPass. You can also use the Door code pillar to open the frunk. (Enter code, then press and hold 7-8 for a few seconds.)

Doesn't the EU fob have a frunk button?

It works for me. I also have 21 Mach-e. Press the button twice 🙂
