We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.

Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1
Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1 brings several significant updates to SYNC:
Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.

Hello,
I just received Ford Power-Up 4.2.2 for my Focus 2022 and I'm disappointed with this update 😞
First, when I received the notification that the update was completed I was really happy, but then I started to be disappointed 😞
1) When I initially connected my iPhone to the car via cable to enable CarPlay, it didn't start automatically, I disconnected the cable and then plugged the cable again to be available in the car
2) The front speakers suddenly stopped working and the resolution for this was to factory reset the head unit :((
3) After 5 min of driving I selected the sport mode, and after another 10-15 min of driving, I received a message on the digital dash saying,,driving modes not available" Again, really disappointed...After waiting again 10-15 min, this error disappeared I could select again the sport mode
4) Sound on CarPlay/Android Auto full screen it's really bad, it's suddenly dropping and lagging after switcing from waze to Youtube Music for example, on split screen seems to be better but not as it was before the upgrade...
Any tips for me on where I can share the feedback regarding this issues?

My car on Thursday downloaded and installed Ford Power-Up 4.2.2, well it did until Saturday night at 23:00 while driving home, all of a sudden the system went black, switched off and 30 seconds later started to boot and when finished had downgraded it self to Ford Power-Up 4.2.1.
I’ve waited to see if the car will re download it and check again tomorrow so will let you know.
But with Ford Power-Up 4.2.1 on My Focus, since IOS 17.2 on iPhone, Apple Car Play has been terrible.
ive reported this to Apple since it’s a Beta, but I was hoping Ford Power-Up 4.2.2 had fixed this, but it’s not been in car long enough.
also 4.2.1. I did have speaker issues with on occasion it would work at one side only, so a quick stop, turn of engine, lock car. Let system close down and the start again would fix it.
@Rob If I give u my Vin number again, would you be able to check if 4.2.2 can be sent down again if it’s not already.
thanks Daz.

My question is, why Ford it's releasing Ford Power-Up 4.2.2 to Europe knowing that in the USA this was unstable and it was full of bugs? We're at least 6 months behind the updates and Ford doesn't even care about this...This will be my last Ford
