Focus SYNC 4 features

All these updates to the car but not much to show for?!

Other than full screen carplay which was rather nice.

What has actually changed in a Focus SYNC 4 since the release of mk4.5?

Also, if I understand these power-up updates are pretty much for the SYNC

system only? No other modules are updated? Like head lights, engine or

transmission for example?

Why no version numbers listed in sync for the modules in the car?

No info if I have the latest maps? Before I could atleast see F11, F12 or

whatever.. Not even a date when the maps was last updated.

Hi @HSamwel  Ford Power-Up 3 has brought Alexa, Dual phone pairing and Full screen Apple Carplay to the 2022.75MY Focus.  We do also do a number of background updates to fine-tune aspects of your vehicle's connectivity supporting, for example, FordPass.  Focus can have its SYNC, Gateway and FordPass Connect modem module updated.  The Focus with Sync 4 has cloud-connected navigation and so maps are updated automatically and not by Ford Power-Up software update, so will always be the latest available version.  We do not provide individual versioning for software or components in-vehicle, only the latest Ford Power-up number.

Yeah forgot about Alexa.. Which isn’t available in my country..

Don’t understand the point of dual phone pairing. Do you have a video or text

explaining the feature, how it works and how to set it up?

Yes, a lot of behind the scenes updates for smoother handling in the future.

But I still believe you should have some info when the system was last updated.

Also maps with live updates is fine, actually great. But a ”Maps last updated 2023-10-26” should be added to the about page of SYNC.

Why not also have ”Power-up version installed: 2023-09-30 4.2.1”?

These can’t be hard to add?!
