New sync unit?

I have a Focus 1.0 EcoBoost Hybrid mHEV 155 Vignale

In December 2023 my maps stopped loading. I took the car to a dealer who said it needed a new sync unit and it is due to be fitted next week however today after the 4.2.2 update the maps have reappeared and everything looks fine. 
Does this mean I don’t need a new sync unit?
The car also seems to spend a lot of time in deep sleep mode and when this happens the air con doesn’t work. I assume this is a separate issue.

I would be grateful for any advice.

I have an ST X 155. I had a warning one evening saying "charging system fail get service". I called nearest service agent but they were fully booked, but suggested I get Ford assistance out as the car was under a year old. I did and they came out, but the car was fine when checked and was ok for the next few weeks. I booked into the dealer for a health check to be on the safe side and they changed the sync unit. Its been fine since. I don't know if it needed it or not, but they maybe found a fault or were just being cautious?
