Sync3 navigation map update

I went on to the Ford website and logged on for my 2021 UK Focus and was told that my sync3 is up to date but that a navigation map update is available. I downloaded it to my PC prior to installing it in the car via USB stick and found that the zip file was only 43 kb - previously map updates have been over 20 megabytes!

I installed the update in the car, which took about 10 seconds, installed the log file on the website as instructed but the website still says the map needs updating. I tried to do this following the same procedure only to see that the same 43 kb file was the only update file available.

Will a full maps update be available soon?

Hey @John475, we would advise trying the download again as the download should have been bigger in size. When downloading a big file, it can download a corrupted or incomplete version. 

Have you tried connecting your car to wifi for the download instead?

I have tried this multiple times and the only file that downloads is the same

48kb one that was available in April. Strangely the log file generated at installation receives a green tick when uploading it although the website reports that a map update is still available.
