We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.
Ford Power-Up Software Update 4 & 5 Summary
Please note: Different vehicles and different model years may receive different updates due to different SYNC 4 systems and different vehicle content.

Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1
Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1 brings several significant updates to SYNC:
Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.

Yes indeed. I finally got my battery swapped and those issue went away.
Mine was broken. Didn’t fully charge up and also discharged quicker than
normal. If you drive daily you should never have those kind of messages.
Although some that know a little about these things has said Ford have put
in a too small battery. Saw that somebody had en swapped it for a larger
and used Forscan to change so the system accepts and handles it correctly.

Hi,
I have the dame problems regarding the battery since the last update. This is serious @Rob . I have a 2023 Focus in Spain. Now, as you have said, my Focus enters the Low battery safe state and a lot of features are disabled. This started happening since the last update.

Just had this update on my Focus ST X MY 23.25.
Ford Power-Up 23-PU2001-PR-FX – SYNC update to improve large file handling.
Not sure if this is similar to any of the other updates reported. I will report any issues if they occur.

I had this update for my MY23.5 in December. I now have just had Power-Up 4.2.2 updated last week. I have noticed the occasional map freeze and audio stutter when I get Sync notification bings or reverse camera is in use.

Hi @Rob
this is now affecting newer cars the 4.2.2
all the same issues.
There is no way on earth that until this was released no one had these issues, all of a sudden, wham were all having a variety of them is some shape or form.
I know you not customer care etc, but can you please raise this again as more and more failures are going to happen.
something has to be done.
thanks.
