Hi all, first post here.
i have a sync 4 MK4.5 Focus. Upon logging in to my online account today, I seen reference to Ford Secure and an option to activate a free trial.
i have seen no mention of this capability within the vehicle or within the Ford pass app. It says if I activate the free trial, it’s 12 months from vehicle registration, which means it would only be until October 2023, so just a couple of months really.
do these Ford secure features all work on the Focus, or does it require a future software update to enable within the vehicle?

I come with great news! Ford Secure is offered on all Focus vehicles that have SYNC4 from the factory and in the UK, its a Thatcham S7 accredited tracking system. This feature is an additional subscription based service that we offer free for a year with the Focus model; it doesn't require any over the air software update and you can enable it today.
Stolen Vehicle Services provides a host of pre-theft alerts in the case that a thief tries to jack your vehicle up, force entry, detach the battery power or remove the vehicle antenna. These alerts trigger straight to your FordPass account. Should the worst happen, help is on hand, we have a dedicated stolen vehicle call centre that will handle your case and work with local law enforcement to track and recover your vehicle. We have real cases where vehicles have been recovered in the UK

I have activated this on my MachE and am only paying the £5.99 a month so hopefully that’s all you need🤞Out of interest which insurer is that with ? I’m coming up to my renewal and want to say I have a Tracker etc s that’s what it gives you but no-one seems to recognise it !

I’m currently thinking about this too. I have Ford secure enabled on my Focus, paying the £5.99 a month. Insurance is up for renewal very soon and hoping I can use it as a tracker device for insurance purposes

It is a specialist insurer (ERS) who the broker (Adrian Flux) uses.

Hi @davesibbitt ,
Ford Secure and Telematics are two totally different things. Ford Secure will give you a stolen vehicle tracker in your Transit without the need for telematics
