We are rolling out Ford Power-Up 6 software updates to our customers in Europe.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.

Ford Power-Up Software Update 6 Details (excludes background updates)
Ford Power-Up 6.2.0 / 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE / 6.2.1
Note: 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE is the latest version with minor background tweaks. Mustang Mach-E Customers who have already received 6.2.0 will also receive this update. Customers who have not received 6.2.0, will only receive 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE. 21MY Mustang Mach-e customers will only receive the 6.2.1 version. The updates below are the same for either version.
This Ford Power-up brings several updates to SYNC for Mustang Mach-E:
For 23MY Mustang Mach-E owners in the UK with BlueCruise, we have made another update to your SYNC screen and an update to BlueCruise Maps. In all instances where you previously will have seen "Hands-Free" in your SYNC screen you will now see "BlueCruise". We’ve also updated your Ford BlueCruise map expiration to help keep things running smoothly. These updates will not change the way that you use BlueCruise.
Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.
Ford Power-Up 6.5.0
This update is for 21MY and 22MY Mach-E only (Job 1 and Job 2). It is an update to the heating and ventilation system that will make enhancements to the heating capability and the vehicle's handling of humidity and will help to reduce fogging in certain conditions.
Ford Power-Up 24-PU0102-CHG-SUFX
This update is for 21MY and 22MY Mach-E only (Job 1 and Job 2). The noticeable changes listed below primarily apply to 21MY vehicles as 22MY onwards had these from factory. There are further background updates which are applicable to all vehicles and are not listed below.
Note: Some customers already had an earlier version of this software applied during the windscreen / panoramic roof service action. This only applied to those customers who had the action completed quite late. As a result some 21MY customers will already have these changes. This answers earlier forum questions about why some early vehicles already had these.
Ford Power-Up 23-PU0110-RAD-PS
This update is for 21MY and 22MY Mach-E only (Job 1 and Job 2). It prevents customers from losing their radio presets following an over-the-air software update to any module.
Ford Power-Up 23-PU0924-DLDC
This update is for 21MY, 22MY and 23MY Mach-E (Job 1 and Job 2) with double locking only. This will mostly be for vehicles sold in the UK and Ireland. Double locking was only an option in other European markets. This is a background update to prepare your vehicle for the next update below.
Ford Power-Up 24-PU0121-FTDI-FX / Ford Power-up 6.7.0
This update is for all 21MY, 22MY and 23MY Mach-E (Job 1 and Job 2).
For 21MY and 22MY customers only, this update enhances your Frunk ajar warning system for when you drive away without your Frunk being fully closed. For customers with Phone as a Key only, this update adds the Frunk release to your FordPass app.
For customers of 21MY Job 1 vehicles, this update prepares your vehicle for later Frunk updates.
For 23MY customers only this just updates your Frunk ajar warning system after Power-Up 6.7.0
Ford Power-Up 24-PU-CLS-CFG and Ford Power-Up 6.8.0 *NEW
24-PU-CLS-CFG is only required for 21MY (Job 1 and Job 2). 6.8.0 is required for all 21MY and 22MY. These updates bring earlier vehicles' instrument panel cluster software up to date with the software on later built vehicles. They are mostly background updates that help prepare for future updates. You may see some minor layout changes on the instrument cluster.
Customers will also notice a louder Frunk ajar warning sound after this update.
Ford Power-Up 23-PU0415-BLM-VIS *NEW
This update only applies to all 21MY and 22MY vehicles. It updates the Bluetooth module software. and provides some quality and reliability improvements for Phone as a Key (for Left hand Drive non-UK vehicles). There are no functional changes. For all other customers this is a background update.
Ford Power-Up 23-PU0119-DC-CHG4 *NEW
This updates the Charging module and also provides reliability and performance updates for DC fast charging. You will not notice any functional changes.

I'm glad you asked that question...I'm very interested to know the reason that it's preferable to get an update via OTA rather than just using FDRS to apply the exact same module update?
This should be interesting. I occasionally do get OTAs...but having said that, there's a ton of software updates I've done over the last two years using FDRS that I'm pretty certain would never have been pushed out as OTAs, or if they were..they would likely have failed due to one or more of the OTA conditions net being met (12V battery SOC, lights off, doors locked, and the list goes on).
So can anybody explain why updates via OTA are preferable to manually installing with FDRS?

Probably because dealers don’t want to lose valuable workshop space just installing software that they’re really not equipped for.
When my car was in it took a couple
of days after the updates failed to complete…imagine the number of cars they could have had in in that time!😂
I’m interested to know what updates that you’ve installed that haven’t been pushed as OTAs.

We are a UK / Europe only forum so unfortunately cannot provide any informed comment on North America software updates and their availability. There are differences between the regions in respect to how we roll out software updates.
In Europe, FDRS usage is limited to Ford dealers and Independent Repairers, for use by trained technicians. It's primary use is vehicle diagnostics and repair. Its use is to guide and assist dealers in repairing specific concerns. So, only software updates that are absolutely required and necessary to address concerns are completed by Dealers. These will be done either in accordance with the vehicle warranty, or will be customer paid if the vehicle is outside of the warranty.
As this is a public forum, we cannot talk too much about our internal methods. Suffice to say that OTA software updates are complex to deliver and are set-up to work most optimally in tandem with how the dealer repair process (with FDRS) is set up.
