We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.
Ford Power-Up Software Update 4 & 5 Summary
Please note: Different vehicles and different model years may receive different updates due to different SYNC 4 systems and different vehicle content.

Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1
Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1 brings several significant updates to SYNC:
Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.

I also received the statement this week that a solution should follow at the end of June. Unfortunately "only" by phone from Ford customer service - but at least it's something.

What is really sad is how utterly Bad Ford has dealt with all of this. In fact it’s a nightmare and just shows the lack of care, quickness and zero ownership of the issue.
we have all been telling them since the last update it’s bad, complaints galore all over Europe same issue.
Instead of taking ownership, it’s. Take the vehicle in, apim to be replace and so on.
Its appalling to think, that all of us has only ever asked for new software to fix the issue
fault only occurred when sync was updated.
Not once on here which could have stopped these complaints in all forums to say.
You no what. Hands up we’re sorry. We’re investigating. Zero acknowledgement.
It’s such a shame, really is as I had high hopes in thinking these large companies are turning around.
Car Companies can’t rely on their loyal customers any more.
more and more competition is turning up and if they don’t start to change they will disappear. That’s fact.
let’s keep our fingers crossed for June that we get the software and it fixes it.
i love my car. Really do except for Sync 4

The new Kuga it's having the SYNC 4 23335_PRODUCT, rev 1099 version, and it's not having our problems... So yeah, it's definitely a software problem and Ford doesn't want to push to us this update which solves the issues.

It would have been terrible if Ford released a new car as important to them
as Kuga is with a buggy SYNC 4. 😅
They have probably been testing this for a while now.
The thing isn’t that they have a fix in place, and late.
Why no info to the current owners? Why do dealers and owners have to take
all the **bleep** for this? Sending owners to the dealers who know even less about
this than we?!
They could have issued info to the dealers that this is an known issue which is
being worked on.
Also why can’t we reinstall older versions??? It should be possible when issues
like this happens.

Probably downgrading versions can be a little trickier than we think. As like Phones or consoles, downgrading can break the entirw system.
But Im with you, Ford Shlould advice the Dealers that there is this problems and they are workimg on it, Also the customer support does not know notjing about this, at least on Portugal... @Rob can you please check
