We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.
Ford Power-Up Software Update 4 & 5 Summary
Please note: Different vehicles and different model years may receive different updates due to different SYNC 4 systems and different vehicle content.
Many updates are background updates. You will not notice any difference in your vehicle following these particular updates. These are essential to the continued smooth running of your vehicle’s connectivity, over-the-air functionality, and digital products and services such as FordPass. Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.

Hey @Rob thanks for the info, but hás you can read here, no dealer/garage ir support is able to help or tell something about it. There are reporta that are changing the APIM and some time after the problems come again...
If the Dev team needs more Proof Im able to Record and send more prrofs, but at this time i think they havw enhougj info. We need a bater support for this, we paid more than 30/40k euros for the car and now we a have a REALLY BUGGY firmware, and many of us pay monthly for the Naviagtion wich is not Working as exlxpected...
Please push this to management teams, this needs to BE addressed ASAP

I don't think it'll be ever addressed since we're having this problem for almost 1 year and ford doesn't even care about this.
Since Focus will be soon not being sold, they don't have the benefit to fix this issue

Still 1 year of production, lots of focus Will be sold with this problem??? I hope they address this, they need to deliver support for 10 years i believe on Europe. So if the software os buggy hás hell, weecan report this to the press and to the Europe Council, wich Will not be good to Ford... Hope @Rob can escalate this FAST to management, this needs a FIX ASAP

I am dissapointed by this reply. Nothing new about the issue is being said. I work in the software industry, that is why I can't understand how bad Ford is managing this situation in the communication and most importantly technically solving the issue. A hotfix should have been applied months ago or at least, a rollback to the previous version. This is unnaceptable and the worst part is that by your message it is clear that you guys are not even aware of the problem at this point (several months have now passed since the firsts reports have been written here).

There aware, Acknowledging it is accepting liability.
Its easier to send everyone to garages which will cost Ford more money to pay garages that just apply a hot fix.
Ford are zero interested in some cars I think. Especially the Focus which ends next year of production.
Its just on the back burner to make and keep up with the Sync 4 on the focus.
Ford are interested and will be updating all there new cars and be more focused on the Electric Car work to ensure they’re not fined by the EU for not meeting targets.
I’ve mentioned time and time again over the complaints and updates I’ve been adding for 6 months. Rollback, software update etc. but it’s always take it to garage, lodge a problem. I don’t have time to be driving a from garages. I can’t keep affording to take time of.
it’s never been difficult to think, err software released broke it. Software must be at fault.
I just don’t get it. Really don’t.
