We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.
Ford Power-Up Software Update 4 & 5 Summary
Please note: Different vehicles and different model years may receive different updates due to different SYNC 4 systems and different vehicle content.
Many updates are background updates. You will not notice any difference in your vehicle following these particular updates. These are essential to the continued smooth running of your vehicle’s connectivity, over-the-air functionality, and digital products and services such as FordPass. Hi @Rob! Do you have any clue if Europe is going to have the youtube app like american vehicles
on 30 October 2023 08:33 8
Hi @jprm The app is currently a North American app available on vehicles there. We are aware of demand for a similar app here in Europe and looking at what could / could not be possible.

I have just received update 4.2.2.1 to my Mach E. Before I had this update I could see the tiles below my navigation screen in a configuration that I could see my tyre pressures as I was driving. Is this option available with this latest update.

Hi @Rob, I’ve never received any OTA updates on my 21MY Mach-E and confirm this every 6 months by getting a forum member to check the OTA dashboard for me. So far, I’ve spent over £500 paying a dealer for their time to update the software via FDRS. Will Ford resolve this problem under warranty as I can’t afford to continue like this and your notes re the 4.2.1.2 power up suggest FDRS is not recommended for these or future updates. Thanks.

Why do you pay for this? I would take this as a fault of the car and have them
fix this ”not updating” issue.
With this I don’t mean installing an update, just making OTA updating work.
If you have a good dealer they won’t charge you even if they do an update
when you clearly are having an issue.
They pay a yearly subscription to Ford so it’s not like doing an update cost them
more than giving a customer some service time.
