We are now rolling out Ford Power-Up 4 and 5 software updates to our customers in Europe. Details of these can be found later in this post.
Please read this first
To ensure a smooth delivery of these updates we strongly recommend:
The following is also very important to ensure undisrupted delivery:
We deploy updates, when they become available, in batches across a period of time. The vehicles selected for each batch will be chosen at random, so please don’t worry if you see someone online receive an update before you do, we haven’t forgotten you! It may take a few weeks for your updates to start arriving and there may also be a few weeks or more between each update. Your car will need to be driven regularly in order to receive all of the updates, if you are away on your holidays or business without your car it’ll be alright and the updates will resume once you are back home and on the road again.
With the many factors involved in deploying software updates to a vehicle, in a small number of cases, it may take more than one attempt to successfully deploy an update. If you do happen to receive an unsuccessful update please don’t panic, we will manage these situations remotely and ensure re-deployment happens, you won’t need to do anything.
Ford Power-Up Software Update 4 & 5 Summary
Please note: Different vehicles and different model years may receive different updates due to different SYNC 4 systems and different vehicle content.
Many updates are background updates. You will not notice any difference in your vehicle following these particular updates. These are essential to the continued smooth running of your vehicle’s connectivity, over-the-air functionality, and digital products and services such as FordPass. They must all be installed in order to receive any subsequent updates and new features.

Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1
Ford Power-Up 4.2.2.1 brings several significant updates to SYNC:
Please note: As this is a major update to SYNC, you may find a small number of settings reverting to default. These may include your drive modes and automatic folding mirrors. I would recommend that after this update, you check that these settings are as you require them.

So after a 5-7 day span of having a lot of issues with the nav, bluetooth
and lagging it suddenly have stopped.
Bluetooth is still an issue, now it mostly works but can sometimes just
loose the audio or get garbled sound. The thing with the ”loose audio”
Issue is that the call timer is still ticking and if I change the phone to any
audio but the car it sounds just fine.
The car again starts up faster, less lagging with the graphics and it connects
my phone faster and starts and loads the maps faster.
This is strange! I’m guessing it’s just a matter of time before I get more issues
yet again.

Very Simular to me.
But my maps freezing has returned today after 2 days of not fully freezing but stuttering.
But sound is terrible. And it causes music playback to stutter too.

@Rob as others have mentioned it is clear the issues began immediately after receiving update 4.2.2 please acknowledge this. Reporting make model of phone etc is totally irrelevant.

And even with 4.2.4, same issues 😅
We just have to send feedback regarding the errors we encounter, hoping they will come to @Rob

Hi,
I have a Ford Focus MK4.5 in Spain. I can confirm.to you that I have all the problems reported here since 4.2.2 (I am now in 4.2.4):
1. The MAP has crashed several times.
2. Signal recognition has failed sometimes
3. Sound gets like in a death loop for 2-4 seconds
4. Battery is very low and car is set to safe mode with features disabled until the car is started.
@Rob please, this are serious problems. I loved my car, what have you done?
