Change the behavior of the UI-based frunk release to match that of the UI-based liftgate release. Specifically, allow the frunk to be opened via the UI when the car is not powered on.

I would 2nd this. To add more detail, this is talking about the in vehicle display. Currently when navigating to Settings > Controls while the vehicle has been turned "off" the only available button (If equipped) is the power lift gate. The Frunk button is greyed out.

Most users (Myself included) often will turn the vehicle off before opening the life gate or frunk so enabling the ability to release the frunk from the display would be a much better experience.

Using the door code, or manual release is less intuitive and adds friction.

does the Frunk button in the UI actually work ever ? I thought that was only available on US models

Would be great if the Frunk was as easy to access as the tailgate.

Or just get rid of the absurdity that is “accessory mode”. Power on means everything. power off means everything. Why all the extra confusing modes. It’s not idling. Stop it! Put your cursor over these lines of code and press delete. Thanks.
