Allow Some Degree of Customization of the Instrument Panel

Perhaps a good analogy might be “complications” on Apple Watch faces. For example, there might be 2-3 “zones” where complications can be placed, and complications might include items like: current power being consumed, current weather (beyond just temperature), artist/title/station (or source).

Yes, and also different styles to each drive mode that follows each colour style.

Modern, Classic and Custom maybe?

Modern maybe with large numbers and slider.

Classic with normal dials, almost like today

Custom where you could move around, remove and/or change size of different

parts that you want to show. For example a huge rev counter but no speed dial

because you have it on the head up display.

With the possibilty to remember last used drive mode and style.

And also possible to set a start drive mode and style.

Mustang (ice) has different gauge clusters. They already change theme items between sport mode and normal, etc. just lack of resource deployment that they are not offering us more.

I would also like to see far more customization of the instrument cluster, but at a minimum, please just return the center portion to the previous screen after a phone call!  I like having “Driver Assistance” in the center, showing turn-by-turn navigation and lane centering info.  As soon as a phone call comes in and once the phone call is over, the phone call history is displayed and does not return to the driver assistance screen.  Someone could also enlighten me as to why the bottom-middle of the screen always shows the current media playing as though that information isn’t always on display on the infotainment screen.  Seems like a complete waste of screen real estate and unnecessary clutter of the instrument cluster.  At the very least it should be user configurable.

This has been one of the biggest disappointments with the large cluster in my F150.  At least with the 24'  The cluster software was designed inhouse and offers much more customization/ layout changes to utilize the larger display.

It would be nice if they could backport the new software to the 21s through 23s
