It would be nice to see on the Ford pass app and in the car how much energy the car is charging at especially when on a rapid charger.

By seeing how many Kw’s the car is charging at you’ll be able to see if there is an issue with the charger being used.
All other makes of ev’s show this information and it helps to better the charging infrastructure by reporting faulty chargers.

Hi @chris200100, thanks for the suggestion.

Having the rate of charge or even a graph for each charge would be great!

Many factors also affect the rate of charging and naturally, your rate/speed will slow down as you approach a higher % to protect the battery.

Cars won't always charge at the top speed so although at first thought it could look like an issue with the Rapid Charger, it could just be factors (not limited to)

- Outside temperature

- Battery temperature

- Battery % at the start of the charge etc

@Ikenna

A graph would also be great to see where the charge rates drop but live data on how much it charging at is what is needed.

I do understand the charge rate differs due to other factors but I have come across chargers that are not working fully and not delivering the charge rate correctly and the following car that plugged in showed how much it was charging at and it was definitely a fault with the charger.

I’ve had a few ev’s before the Mach E and all show a charge rate live when charging

Thumbs up to this idea. Being able to see the rate of charge from the app will help determine if the charger we are using is throttling the output.
