One of the great features on my Audi was the ability to search for a destination on the App and then send it to the car to be ready for your trip. It looks as if you can do this in the Ford Pass App but you need to connect the phone with a cable to the car which to be honest is pointless. Can you find a way to do this via the WiFi connection ?

Hi @Lennox476576, depending on your vehicle it should still show up.

If you use the share icon then select "Send to Vehicle", it should work.

Hi there,

if I try to do this on either my 2019 Focus or 2021 Kuga PHEV I get the screen above that says I need to plug the phone into the car - it won’t send “over the air” ?

@Lennox476576, the image above still looks to contain some personal information, as suggested before try using a public place like a theme park or attraction for demonstration purposes.

It is strange that the "send the vehicle" option isn't showing up at all for you. I'll ask around and come back if we need some more information from you.

Hi @Lennox476576, can you confirm if you've disabled CarPlay in your car's menu?

@lkenna

Hi there,

yes I’ve disabled Apple Car Play and using Thorpe Park as an example I get a screen after pressing “Send to Vehicle” that tells me I need to plug my phone into the car - if I press “Help” I get the information below.

if I plug the phone into the car then the destination will come up and I can start to navigate.

I don’t know if this is all the system will do ? My Audi enabled me to send destinations wirelessly to my car and they would appear in my Navigation Menu as “MyAudi Destinations” and I could just select the relevant destination from the list.  It was a really useful feature especially when going on holiday or a business trip where you wanted to program in a number of destinations in advance.

Having to plug the phone into the car seems to defeat the point of “Send to Vehicle” !

Hi @Lennox476576, thanks for your patience on this. So the app function is working as it should for you although I can imagine it's not as ideal as we'd like.

Unfortunately, being able to send a location to your vehicle without plugging in via USB only works for the Mach-e.

@lkenna - thanks for investigating and coming back to me. As you say this is not ideal - to be honest it is pretty useless ! Can I suggest it is added to the development list - if it can be done on the Mach E why not on the Kuga ?

Hey @Lennox476576, I'm not close to the product development side but I can imagine if future cars get built on a new platform then it will be. It's a very handy feature and I would be very frustrated myself if I kept seeing the screen telling me to plug in via USB. I myself tend to use Apple Car Play (via USB) anyway but I completely understand the need to not have to use a cable.
