It would be great if we could modify the scheduled charging feature, to set the time to include starting charging on the half hour not just the top of the hour. Octopus Energy offer a reduced cost tariff from 12:30-04:30 overnight and I know it frustrates PHEV owners in the UK who have that tariff that they can't fully benefit. Would be a good customer enhancement if we can deliver it easily.

Hi mharvey7,

This is a great suggestion and something we have heard from other customers too. We have changed the status of this to 'investigating' which means that it will be officially passed on to our development teams as a desired feature change.

The team will now investigate feasibility and potential timing of this. We will place any updates on this thread.

Thanks!

In exactly this position and very frustrating not to be able to charge in line with the low cost hours on the Octopus tariff

Can something be done about the lack of minute adjustment on the charge scheduler for a Mach-e.

Most of the cheaper rate electric in the uk starts on the half hour and with the lack of any minute selection I lose an hour of charging if I only use the cheaper rate.

Also it would be nice to have it charge without having to select how much percentage you want ie start at 23:30 and finish at 5:30

It’s also the same for the Mach e this needs addressing also I want it to charge to what ever it can do in my cheap rate but you got to select a percentage if you select 100% and the car thinks it can only get to say 92% it will start charging straight away and ignore the scheduling

Can we have ability to set time on the half hour? Cheap electric rates start and finish on the half hours for the major suppliers in the uk

@paulspin @A few of us have asked for this, I think fords are the only ones that don’t let us do minute adjustments.

there is a work around if you have a smart wall charger you can use the timer on that instead that’s what I do to charge my Mach e it works perfectly

Yeah this is for a Kuga phev so I just use a standard plug. The way it's wired means no timer is possible. It's s shame they can't make this work.

@paulspin

They are looking into sorting this out as it’s one of the biggest issues with the built in charger timer.

As your using the standard 3 pin charger there is in screwfix an outdoor socket with a built in timer rated at 13a might be something to look into
