With the Mach-e there would seem there is not be a way to disable the inclination (tilt) sensor when you park up on a Ferry and lock the car ready for a crossing. With ferry motion the alarm will most likely go off. An option to disable the sensor  in the FordPass would great.

At present it would seem to us Mach-e owners that the only option is to leave the car unlocked.

Hi @Giddyup, Frustrating isn’t it. Having posted the original post over 2 years ago and what I believe is a simple fix, Ford appear to have done absolutely nothing about it.  There are (I’m sure you have noticed), plenty of nice games to play whilst waiting in the car. It  just seems Ford believe it is more important to entertain us when we are not driving by adding a load of insignificant games rather than addressing the issues than Ford Mach-e owners and users deem important, some of which are safety related.

Hi Ikenna,

do you know what’s happened regarding what you mentioned in chat, If anything was ever done for the switching off the inclination sensor for ferry mode?

it’s been over a year now and not a word mentioned about it.

This is a very, very priority concern for anybody who uses a ferry for travel. We do live on an Island!

Could you please update us all?

Thanks

@JasIII  Hi, the team involved told me that the fix was done but waiting to go in a future update. They couldn't share any more details as updates are subject to change.

I know it's frustrating that I can't give specifics (or know them).

The team involved with software updates are busy trying to bring everyone onto the same level, hopefully, once this is done we'll start to see more fixes coming through.

Hi @Ikenna, thanks for update. Unfortunately it doesn’t give me much hope as to when the software update will actually appear. Maybe we’ll get some more games to play instead, which unfortunately we can not play on most ferries as you are not allowed on the car deck (my apology for the sarcasm….but!!). The last ferry crossing I used my other car, where the alarm can be disabled simply by a second press of the lock button on key fob. Maybe out of your direct control, but if there is any that can be done to accelerate the software update, then please do it.
