My Focus ST used to fold in the wing mirrors when I locked it, which was a great visual clue that the car was locked too. I wish the same would happen on the Mustang. I can manually fold them in before I shut off the engine, but given the size of the beast, it would be nice if it could happen automatically.

Which mustang the petrol or the Mach e.

the Mach e does fold the mirrors when locking there’s a setting for it.

The petrol mustang does NOT fold the mirrors when locking from what I have read as I too would like this feature on my petrol mustang, it’s more than a software rewrite there needs to be extra hardware as well.

unfortunately unless it’s added to a new model we are stuck with pressing the fold button, it would also be nice to have a heated windscreen in them too.

The proper one that looks awesome and sounds like the God of Thunder really approves of whatever I'm doing 🌩

I had assumed as the fold is electric it *should* just be software unless there's no linkage between the lock and mirror systems. It's a shame, but hope it might be on the next one.

A heated front screen would be nice, but then what excuse would I have for fiddling with the app five minutes before I leave? I was glad I got that by getting the auto.

Unfortunately it’s more complex than just software, as there needs to be some wiring from the central locking system to the mirrors to enable them to fold on locking, also it would need to be done in such a way so that they don’t fold when you lock the doors while driving.

I’ve had a couple of cars from other manufacturers that have this same issue.

I take it you have remote start on yours which is very nice unfortunately I don’t as mine is a manual.
