Changes to navigation in Mach E

Hi,

 

would it be possible to make a change to navigation so that you can state how much charge you want to end your journey with. Arriving at your destination with 3% battery is pointless. The navigation app is capable of looking at your journey and giving you all the charging points needed to complete your trip so telling it what you want to end with should be a simple change. You could take the lazy way out and just add a better route planner app to the car with full integration. It would be a better feature option than Alexa which in a car is useless when you have your own Ford voice assistant. You would have been better off integrating Siri or Google. You need to add features that improve the user experience and faith in your electric vehicle rather than adding something that just wants to sell your data.

I agree with this. I've found this to be the case with almost all navigation apps. (Ford, Apple Maps, Google.) The only one that gives you this option is A Better Route Planner (ABRP). Would definitely suggest using that as a solution for not until others start supporting that option.

 

Another workaround id suggest would be to setup a round trip route. This will then give correct charging and percentage when arriving to the destination. Not a great experience, but it works as a workaround.

Hello, I have a few issues :

 

  • I travel a lot in Germany, and new charging stations are popping up like flies. But it takes ages before my Mach-E is aware of them. (while Google and other apps have them very very soon)
  • This also means that I cannot get the car to warm up the battery. Could you add the function so that I manually trigger the car to warm up 10 mins prior to arrival at the "unknown charging" station.
  • Could you add a function where the drive can add a "charging station" in the map, to be reviewed by a moderator ? This would speed up the updating level of known stations in the Navigation.
