Put yourself in this situation: Your enjoying car camping with your friends or family, and have your truck nearby. It's late at night, your eyes have got accustomed to the darkness, and not much light is needed. You forget something in your truck, so you go to grab it, only to be greeted by proximity lights (if equipped) and every light known to man. Suddenly, even the folks on the ISS can see where you're camping and half the campground is mad at you.

The solution: A toggle mode selectable on both the FordPass app and the SYNC's Zone Lighting screen labeled "Camp Mode". Under camp mode, no lights turn on when approaching or opening your vehicle. No dome lights, no parking lights, no screen animations, nothing. All of this being automatically disabled with the vehicle's ignition is turned on.

I'm lucky to be able to camp a lot these days.

It would be great to not have to flip the headlights off in a hurry, not to mention all the zone lighting.

Hope this idea gets traction.

I have the F-150 PowerBoost and I also set the ECOIdle function OFF while camping and using the ProPower On Board to minimize noise. Having light control would be great!

I’d actually like for Camp Mode to include the Zone Lighting without the truck being turned on all the way. Maybe a Camp Mode section in FordPass app and vehicle settings where you can customize/toggle the features you want to be running when the truck is off… Zone Lighting, ProPower, HVAC (since some people sleep in their trucks or in the bed with the rear window slid open). Would be great for tailgating as well!

Similar to the black-out police mode I saw advertised elsewhere.

Agreed this should be available as a toggle option through the APIM. It can currently be enabled through forscan, search for "silent mode".
