Q. When do customers in Europe receive the latest Ford Power-Up software updates? Why has there been a delay vs North America?
A. There are some variances between North American and European vehicle specifications. This, coupled with the complexity of the European market, can result in the content of each Ford Power-Up Software Update between the two regions varying, leading to different development periods and a different release cadence.
In Europe, we are aiming to deploy Ford Power-Up 1.7.1, 2.1.0 and 2.3.0 together in April, deploying them sequentially to customer vehicles across a short time period. We recognise that our customers are keen to receive these updates. Our priority is to ensure that our technology puts quality and safety first for the customer. As we ramp-up our delivery of Software Updates over the next 12-18 months, our ambition is to reduce this time lag in our process wherever possible.
